Rear Window
The scene where Jeffrey and his girlfriend are trying to make sense of why they think the woman was murdered. Increasing Jeffery’s suspicion, his girlfriend starts to mention and note things that a regular woman would not leave behind when going on a planned trip. She mentions that a woman would never leave her make-up, pocketbook, and several other important female items. Based on the stereotypical ideas speculated about woman, one figures that if certain criteria are missing or unfulfilled then something must be wrong. Jeffery will stop at nothing to prove that his speculations about the “murderer” are correct.
Law in Order
Many episodes in Law in Order resemble the Video of the Rear Window. In both many cases are at times first develop solely on intuition, with no evidence or probable cause. Accompanied by personal observations, it is intuition, and a gut-feeling that drive these detective/crime fighters. Like in Rear window these detectives will look anywhere and everywhere for evidence.
