I choose this image because before this campaign, I never really stopped to think of how much technology can actually change the appearance of a person. These alterations done by technology and delivered by the media, can cause great problems to our society.     Most women, try to live up to the media’s standards of what it means to be beautiful. However, the media profits from making the goal unobtainable. The more cosmetics woman buy, the more surgery they get, the higher the media sets the standards. In America 85% of women do not feel that they are beautiful. That is s cognitive distortion that needs to be corrected, and Dove is leading the revolution.
